Government of Kosovo allocates 13 million euros for investments in Kosovo municipalities

According to the first decision adopted today by the Government of Kosovo, the municipalities of Shtërpce and Graçanica will benefit 2 million euros each, whereas the municipalities of Kllokot, Ranillug, Novobërdë and Partesh 1 million euros each. The municipalities will use this money for investments in infrastructure and other necessities for the local inhabitants.
Chaired by Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting in which it approved allocation of 13 million euros for investments in the following municipalities: Shtërpce, Graçanica, Kllokot, Ranillug, Novobërdë, Partesh and the municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi assessed that the decision to financially support these municipalities is in line with the implementation of the comprehensive proposal on the solution of Kosovo’s status by President Ahtisaari and will contribute to improving of living conditions for the people of Kosovo.

The Government of Kosovo took another decision to allocate 5 million euros for the municipalities in the north of Kosovo. The Government of Kosovo will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the USAID which will be in charge of the project implementation in this part of Kosovo. These investments too will focus on improving of living conditions for all the citizens of these Kosovo municipalities.
