Delavekouras said this at a news conference when asked about the chances that Greece will recognize Kosovo's independence, Greek news agency ANA reported. He added that from the start, Greece has stressed the need for consensus and a diplomatic solution as the only way for the Balkans.

Delavekouras also reminded that Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas visited Belgrade and Pristina immediately after the ICJ issued its ruling. Greece is still keeping communication channels with all players in the region open, concluded the Greek foreign ministry spokesman.
