Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac took part in a security forum in Halifax, Canada, organised by the Canadian government and the German Marshall Fund.
Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac took part in a security forum in Halifax, Canada, organised by the Canadian government and the German Marshall Fund.
Sutanovac on the sidelines of the forum met with the defence officials of Canada, Denmark, Albania and Germany.
The Minister presented the reforms in the defence system of Serbia, the completion of the process of army professionalisation, as well as plans for the future, particularly in relation to Serbia to issues of regional security.
Also, the themes of the meeting were the continuation and improvement of current bilateral cooperation.
The security forum in Halifax is one of the three most important international meetings discussing issues of global security challenges.
The forum is attended by more than 400 participants from 39 countries, including a large number of defence ministers, foreign ministers, state secretaries, and representatives of civil society organisations, institutes and universities.
After Canada, Sutanovac will travel to the United States where he will have meetings at the Pentagon and the State Department.
