A wheat processing plant started with the production near Pristina last week, made possible by a joint Kosovar-Turkish investment.

Kosovo Agriculture Minister, Blerand Stavileci participated in the opening ceremony and praised the investment.

"This factory meets highest standards and it also provides opportunities for local farmers. Corn sector is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and this factory also opens new perspectives for producers of grain in this area," said Stavileci.

The factory was privatized three year ago and after the joint investment it now employs 260 people.

"Investing is the result of a strong cooperation that we have built with Government of Kosovo, which also supports the establishment of partnerships between businessmen from both our countries," said the representative of the Turkish “Universal Food”.
