Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said today that the Serbian government will provide approximately RSD 1 billion from various sources for the clean-up of the consequences of the earthquake in Kraljevo.

Cvetkovic stated at the joint press conference with Head of EU Delegation in Belgrade Vincent Degert that within 24 hours of the earthquake the first assistance was provided, while the Serbian government will secure far greater assistance.

Degert affirmed that the EU expresses solidarity with the victims in Kraljevo and added that before seeing how to help the earthquake-stricken area, the EU should make an evaluation of the situation.

Once this is done, I will meet with all the ambassadors next week to see how best to help the area and its citizens, the EU Delegation Head declared.
