Numerous reports on irregularities, electoral frauds and manipulations have been submitted to the authorized body with the Central Election Commission (CEC), which cast a huge shadow over Kosovo's elections held on December 12, Pristina's media reported Tuesday.

Irregularities occurred despite numerous international observers and diplomats who insist that problems should be tackled quickly in order “to save what can be saved”.

The authorized commission received a total of 171 complaints of irregularity.

Ballot stuffing and casting ballots at multiple booths were also witnessed, and the registered malfunctioning of UV lamps for fingerprint control also contributed to irregularities.

The Albanian language daily Koha Ditore also reports of the Sunday elections as most damaging election process carried out in Kosovo.

It is estimated that the electoral frauds reached their climax in Glogovac (central Kosovo) and Srbica (northern Kosovo), but were also witnessed at other polling stations.

At least nine municipalities did not have UV lamps for voter identification which facilitated ballot stuffing.

The irregularities were witnessed by the observers of the organization 'Democracy in Action', as well as international representatives.

Considerable damage has been caused, and diplomatic sources told the daily that irregularities threaten to damage the image of Kosovo in the world.

The Self-Determination movement decided to discard the results in four municipalities, while the Democratic League of Kosovo refutes the results in six municipalities.

Member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Gani Koci is also dissatisfied with the elections in Srbica, and lodged a complaint.

Complaints were submitted for electoral frauds in Srbica, Glogovac, Malisevo (central Kosovo), Prizren (southern Kosovo), Strpce (southern Kosovo) and Gracanica (central Kosovo).
