Zaharije Trnavcevic, the acting speaker of the Serbian parliament, said Friday the inaugural session would likely resume on June 11, with the election of a speaker and deputy speakers of Serbia's highest legislative body.
Trnavcevic told Tanjug that the parliament would probably also elect a general secretary and form committees at the same session.
The inaugural session started Thursday with the verification of MP mandates. Under the Rules of Procedure, a candidate for speaker is nominated by a minimum of 30 MPs and the proposal is submitted to the acting speaker in written form.
