Political Director of the Serbian Foreign Ministry Borko Stefanovic will head the Serbian negotiating team in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the Serbian government released on Friday.

Political Director of the Serbian Foreign Ministry Borko Stefanovic will head the Serbian negotiating team in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the Serbian government released on Friday.

Vladimir Jovicic, advisor in the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, will act as Stefanovic's deputy.

As Minister for the Diaspora Srdjan Sreckovic told reporters, the Serbian government has decided to lift the confidentiality status from one section of the document on the training for Serbia's negotiating team in the Belgrade-Pristina talks.

The details of the platform will be revealed to the public in keeping with Serbia's national interests, Sreckovic announced.

The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue was made possible by the United Nations Resolution on the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice which the UN General Assembly adopted on September 9, 2010.

Prior to the adoption, Serbia adjusted the draft resolution to the recommendations it received from the European Union.

The resolution calls on all sides to set up a dialogue on the Kosovo issue. Serbia has stated that it will not at any time recognise the independence of its southern province.

The exact date when the talks could start is not known yet and it will depend on the constitution of the interim Kosovo government, which will be completed after extraordinary elections.
