The Association of the Families of Kidnapped and Murdered in Kosovo criticized Wednesday non-governmental organizations in Serbia for not commenting on Council of Europe rapporteur Dick Marty's report on organ trafficking in Kosovo.
"We find it incomprehensible that no one from the non-government sector, not one of the dozens of NGOs in Serbia that deal with human rights violations, has issued a statement on this," the association released.
The organization hopes that the fate of the Serbs and ethnic non-Albanians who disappeared during and around the time of the war in Kosovo will finally be revealed and that all those responsible for war crimes in Kosovo will be brought to justice.
The EU Mission in Kosovo announced late January it had opened a preliminary investigation into the claims made in Marty's report. The Kosovo authorities have denied all the allegations in the document.
