The new healthcare union of Serbia (NSZS) will organize a warning strike on Thursday, February 10, at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Ministry of Health, union leader Zivorad Mrkic announced at a news conference Tuesday.

According to him, members of NSZS are demanding a 30 percent salary hike for healthcare workers, respecting personnel norms, indefinite term employment for everyone who has been working on a fixed term contract longer than the law allows, and combating corruption in the healthcare system.

Mrkic said that the protesters will be joined by NSZS members across Serbia.
