Serbia's foreign debt EUR 23,8 bln

At the end of 2010, Serbia's foreign debt added up to EUR23.78 billion, which is 999.4 million more than at the end of 2009, it was stated on Feb. 9.

At the end of 2010, Serbia's foreign debt added up to EUR23.78 billion, which is 999.4 million more than at the end of 2009, it was stated on Feb. 9.

The principal of the debt amounts to EUR23.5 billion, 1.5 billion is due for payment, while the regular interest is EUR270 million, it was announced on the website of the National Bank of Serbia.

In December 2010, Serbia's debt to foreign creditors increased by EUR545 million compared with November.

The foreign debt of the public sector in Serbia at the end of 2010 was worth EUR9.1 billion, of which the greatest share is that of the central authorities, i.e. the Serbian government EUR7.3 billion, while the Serbian central bank owes 1.6 billion.
