Serbian Labor and Social Policy Minister Rasim Ljajic said on Feb. 16 that a calmer period is ahead of the Serbian government, in which it will continue to work on reaching its goals - reduction of poverty and acceleration of the country's European integration.

Serbian Labor and Social Policy Minister Rasim Ljajic said on Feb. 16 that a calmer period is ahead of the Serbian government, in which it will continue to work on reaching its goals - reduction of poverty and acceleration of the country's European integration.

"It is certain that, after a stormy week when we were dealing more with ourselves than with resolving these issues, there is room and time for catching up with what has been missed. I hope the government is entering a calmer period and that it will continue working on its goals," Ljajic told reporters in Belgrade.

He went on to say that the crisis in the government did not last long "in the sense of the continued conflict and consultations among members of the ruling coalition."

Ljajic said that personnel changes in the government will take place by the end of this month.

"It is now more than clear that there will be personnel changes in the government. I am not sure if the reshuffle would envisage the merging of some ministries and a reduction of the number of government members, but the personnel changes will come very soon," the minister added.
