Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic received today the students of the Faculty of Organisational Sciences (FON) who won the regional contest of Hult Global Case Challenge and qualified for the world finals which will be held in New York on 28 April.

Obradovic congratulated students of FON Tamara Pajevic, Ema Neskovic, Jovana Dadic, Aleksandra Nikolic and Ninoslav Stojsavljevic and their teachers on winning the first place and pointed out that they showed their personal value and knowledge and promoted in the best way their faculty and higher education in Serbia.

The Minister awarded the students with a seven-day holiday on Mount Zlatibor which they can use by the end of the year and wished them success at the competition in New York at which, as he said, they will represent the whole of Europe.

The FON students won the first place in the European competition in solving business case studies, set by non-governmental organisation Water.org.

In this competition, in which Serbian students were solving the problem of water supply for the poorest inhabitants of the planet, there were 32 teams more from the most prestigious business management schools in Europe.

Regional competitions in Boston, San Francisco, Shanghai and Dubai were held at the same time as the European competition, and their winners also entered the finals for the world competition in New York. The winner of the finals will get $1 million which will be invested in the realisation of the proposed solution

Congratulations to the students of FON. I am sure they presented an excellent solution. However, they will be joined by representatives of SDA Bocconi from Milan, Italy in the world finals in New York. I am sure both teams will represent Europe proudly.
