A Serb under the name of Zoran Kolic was arrested in the village of Dobrotin, near the central Kosovo town of Lipljan, on suspicion of war crimes committed during the Kosovo war, according to what Tanjug has learned at the village.
The EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo announced Thursday morning that a war crimes suspect had been arrested, but did not reveal the identity of the person.
The villagers, however, stated that it was Kolic who had been arrested. He is a member of the Independent Liberal Party, which is a part of the government coalition in Kosovo.
Kolic worked at the Lipljan prison during the Kosovo conflict.
