UN Security Council member-states agreed last night on the necessity of an investigation into traffic in human organs in Kosovo on the basis of Dick Marty’s report, but no consensus was reached as to who should be in charge of the investigation.

US, UK, German and French representative assessed that EULEX had capacities for conducting such an investiation, while countries that have not recognized independence of Kosovo, led by Russia and China, stated that the investigation should be conduced under UN mandate.
The ambassadors of UN Security Council member-states greeted the commencment of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue as a method of resolving practical issues of everyday life.
