Sefket Musliu released

The Kosovo Supreme Court has released Sefket Musliu, one of the commanders of the former paramilitary organization from southern Serbia called the Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

The Kosovo Supreme Court has released Sefket Musliu, one of the commanders of the former paramilitary organization from southern Serbia called the Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

The court accepted Musliu's appeal for a release, but ordered a retrial before the Gnjilane District Court.

The Gnjilane court had sentenced Musliu to 12 years in prison for three kidnappings and one attempted coercion.

He has been in prison since August 7, 2003.

In the meantime, the prosecution dropped one of the kidnapping charges and the court reduced his sentence to 10 years and 6 months.
