Belgrade's Summertime Weekend 2011 music festival, which will welcome jazz greats like Tavitjan Brothers and The New Gary Burton Quartet, will be held at the Sava Center on July 1 and 2, the organized announced Thursday.
Belgrade's Summertime Weekend 2011 music festival, which will welcome jazz greats like Tavitjan Brothers and The New Gary Burton Quartet, will be held at the Sava Center on July 1 and 2, the organized announced Thursday.
Summertime festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has been cut short to only two days for economic reasons, the organizers said at a news conference. On the first night, the jazz, ethno and world music festival will host Irena Blagojevic and the Ana Popovic Band.
Macedonia's best jazz musicians, Tavitjan Brothers featuring Garo, will perform on the second night. They have performed at numerous festivals and won several international awards. The New Gary Burton Quartet with Julian Lage, Antonio Sanchez and Jorge Roeder are also scheduled to appear on the second night.
Gary Burton is the winner of four Grammy Awards and has performed with many music stars.
