Serbia opens embassy in Kazakhstan

Serbia opened Friday its embassy in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, in the presence of Ivan Mrkic, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Kazinform agency reports.
Serbia opened Friday its embassy in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, in the presence of Ivan Mrkic, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Kazinform agency reports.
The opening of the embassy of Serbia in Astana will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation and understanding between the two countries and peoples, Mrkic said after meeting with Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov. He noted that Kazakhstan and Serbia enjoy good relations and have great prospects.

he issues regarding implementation of agreements reached during Serbian President Boris Tadic's visit to Kazakhstan last December were also considered at the meeting. The two states established diplomatic relations 15 years ago, Kazinform said.
