The fifth round of the dialogue, which started March 8 under the auspices of the EU, was originally set to take place in mid June, but was pushed back to give Belgrade and Pristina more time to go over the possibilities for an agreement.

The fifth round of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue will be held July 2 in Brussels and is expected to produce the first concrete results, diplomatic sources in Brussels confirmed for Tanjug on Wednesday.

Representatives of Belgrade and Pristina will meet again on July 2. We expect agreement to be reached in several areas, such as vital records, the cadastre and freedom of movement, said a diplomat who asked to remain anonymous.

In addition to this, progress is expected on other issues which have been discussed by the Belgrade and Pristina teams headed by Borislav Stefanovic and Edita Tahiri, such as telecommunications, energy and customs seals.

The fifth round of the dialogue, which started March 8 under the auspices of the EU, was originally set to take place in mid June, but was pushed back to give Belgrade and Pristina more time to go over the possibilities for an agreement.

Stefanovic told Tanjug on Tuesday he was optimistic ahead of his trip to Brussels, and expected at least three issues would be resolved. None of the solutions, he stressed, would acknowledge Kosovo's so-called independence in any way.

Agreement is expected on the cadastre, freedom of movement and vital records, he said, adding there was a good chance the Telekom and electric energy issues would also be solved.
