The World Bank has described Pristina as a place where it is very difficult to start a business, adding that the report should stir the local government into action.

Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo Lek Musa told reporters in Pristina the report would open the eyes of the Pristina authorities, adding that their attitude towards privately owned companies was not friendly at all.
The report, entitled Doing Business in Southeast Europe 2011, was published Tuesday and represents an analysis of business conditions in 22 cities and 7 economies in the region.
The document showed that the countries of the region are continuing to improve their business regulations referring to entrepreneurship, adding that the business environment in all of the researched cities is better compared to 2008.
