A column of vehicles, one of which was carrying ICTY indictee Goran Hadzic, left the Belgrade Special Court at 8.20 am on Friday, and arrived at about 9.40 in Novi Sad, in front of the house where Hadzic's wife, son, sister and mother live.

A column of vehicles, one of which was carrying ICTY indictee Goran Hadzic, left the Belgrade Special Court at 8.20 am on Friday, and arrived at about 9.40 in Novi Sad, in front of the house where Hadzic's wife, son, sister and mother live.

Strong police forces and members of the Gendarmerie have blocked the street for traffic, which is packed with journalists and locals.

Earlier today, Hadzic's unwedded wife and daughter, as well as his lawyer Dragoslav Marinkovic, visited the ICTY indictee in the Special Court.

His sister was also seen as standing in front of the Court, but did not enter the building.

Hadzic's lawyer Dragoslav Marinkovic stated Friday morning that he agreed in writing with Hadzic's decision to renounce his right to appeal, adding that he does not know if the document is still in the prosecutor's office or was forwarded to the Justice Ministry to be signed by Minister Snezana Malovic.
