Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Bedzet Pacoli announced that the Republic of Benin has recognized Kosovo's independence, and thus became 80th state to have done so following the declaration of independence three years ago.

Pacoli said that Benin recognized Kosovo thanks to his direct lobbying.

Two days ago, Guinea-Conakry and Niger endorsed Kosovo's independence.
