Number of Serbian asylum seekers in Germany reduces

 A total of 82 Serbian citizens requested asylum in Germany in July, which shows that their number is constantly reducing compared to the previous months, the statement published at the German Interior Ministry's website reads.

 A total of 82 Serbian citizens requested asylum in Germany in July, which shows that their number is constantly reducing compared to the previous months, the statement published at the German Interior Ministry's website reads.

The data of the German ministry show that there were 82 asylum seekers from Serbia in July, 91 in June and 138 in May.

As a result, Serbia now takes the ninth place among the countries with the largest number of asylum requests in Germany in July.

The data for six months of 2011 show that Serbia now takes the third place with 1,764 requests, being preceded by Afghanistan (4,579) and Iraq (3,403).

In that period, Germany also received 751 asylum requests from Kosovo.

In the first part of the year, Germany got the total of 24.143 asylum requests, which is 27.4 percent more compared to the previous year, when the number reached 18.946.
