Democratic Party (DS) leader and Serbian President Boris Tadic Monday refused to speculate on the date of the next parliamentary and local elections, but just pointed out that they would be staged within the time frame envisaged by the Constitution.

After a meeting with representatives of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia, at which he represented the DS, Tadic also did not wish to comment about the party's possible candidate for future prime minister.

"What is the hurry? It is no secret that the DS has many good candidates for that post, but one should look before he leaps," Tadic said.
