Ciric: Mass production of Fiat 500 L in Kragujevac starts in April

The Minister said that the Kragujevac factory Fiat Automobili Serbia, which is a joint venture of the Serbian government and Italian Fiat, has a capacity of 200,000 vehicles annually, and potentially even up to 300,000.

 Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric said  that Serbia will produce 80% of the new Fiat brand 500 L.

Ciric told the Beta news agency that exports of this model of car are expected to be worth €1.1 to €1.3 billion per year.

The Minister said that the Kragujevac factory Fiat Automobili Serbia, which is a joint venture of the Serbian government and Italian Fiat, has a capacity of 200,000 vehicles annually, and potentially even up to 300,000.

He pointed out that mass production of Fiat 500 L in Kragujevac will begin in April, while exports to the EU is scheduled for June.

This model, in versions with five and seven seats, will be produced only in the factory in Kragujevac, he said.

The new model will be presented on 6 March at the International Motor Show in Geneva.
