The Serbian dinar is up by another 0.1 percent on Monday, setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 110.7924 for EUR 1, the National Bank of Serbia released.

The NBS has sold EUR 308.5 million in the interbank foreign exchange market since the beginning of the year to alleviate the excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

The dinar hit its record low against the single European currency on Wednesday, March 14, when the official middle exchange rate was RSD 111.0286, and its yearly high on January 11 with the rate at RSD 103.6922.

Compared to a month before, the Serbian currency is down 2.2 percent, and 7.1 percent compared to a year ago, the NBS release reads.

The indicative dinar vs. dollar exchange rate was RSD 84.0801 on Friday, up 0.8 percent from the day before. The dinar weakened 1.8 percent against the U.S. dollar on a monthly and 13 percent on an annual level.
