Putin praises Russia for not being drawn into ‘debt slavery’

Putin pointed to the current situation in Portugal, Greece, Italy and France, where the situation remains tense because of these four countries’ failure to duly deal with the debt-related issues.
Meeting with the top brass of the United Russia party in Moscow on Thursday, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin piled praise on government decisions to shore up economy and ordinary people which were made during the global economic crisis and which helped Russia avoid being drawn into “debt slavery”.
Putin pointed to the current situation in Portugal, Greece, Italy and France, where the situation remains tense because of these four countries’ failure to duly deal with the debt-related issues.
