The three-day IT conference titled Startup Live Split gets underway in the Dalmatian city today (Friday). The conference will bring together 17 speakers, an international jury, 16 start-up teams and IT enthusiasts.

Besides lectures, the conference will hold a competition featuring 16 start-up projects, aiming to provide young innovative companies with the opportunity to present their projects to potential investors, recognised IT experts and the media.

There will be 11 teams from Croatia as well as teams from Greece, Slovenia, Germany, Poland and Serbia who will present their projects to the specialised judging panel. Each team will receive constructive feedback from experts about how their project can make it on the scene.

The competition winners will get direct entry to the biggest competition at the Pioneers Festival in Vienna, where more than 3,000 of the world's IT elite will gather, reports website Tportal.
