The Government on Friday is expected to adopt a fresh package of anti-crisis measures, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski announced on Tuesday.
- We've held several meetings with economy ministers. On Friday evening a special governmental session will be held where these measures will be adopted. I hope next week these measures can be implemented. Some of them will require legal amendments, while some only Government's decision, stated PM Gruevski, who attended a cornerstone laying ceremony for four football fields in Skopje's Aerodrom settlement.
He refused to comment the interview of Greece's Alternate FM Dimitris Droutsas for today's edition of "Dnevnik" daily, saying that his positions involving the name issue were well-known.
- I haven't read the interview. His stances are generally known. They are radical in terms of the issue and I wouldn't comment them, said Gruevski.
Commenting attacks made by opposition SDSM party regarding governmental projects, Gruevski said the Government would continue with its policy to improve the well-being of every citizen in Macedonia.
- We're investing Euro 100 million annually for agriculture, (SDSM leader) Branko Crvenkovski attacks us for that. We've purchased equipment for hospitals in amount of Euro 90 million, Crvenkovski attacks us for that as well. We're building many facilities and we are attacked for that too. Our actions are constantly attacked. Let the citizens judge who is right, stated Gruevski.
There was a time, he added, when nothing was build and no one knew where funds from the budget had been spent.
- Today, many constructions are under way at least. Some people support this policy some don't. These ministers from the Government will one day leave their offices, but they won't take with them what we are going to leave to the citizens of Macedonia as a general well-being. We'll resume our policy and we'll implement what we have promised to the citizens, the PM noted.
In relation to recommendations on launching campaign to inform the citizens about the rules of traveling without visas in Schengen countries, Gruevski said the presence of all government officials, including ministers, in the media was some kind of campaign.
