Greece: Bank deposits drop in June

Total deposits in Greek banks stood at 216.5 billion euros in June, with the figure since the beginning of the year decreasing by 7 percent, or roughly 16.3 billion euros.
A hemorrhaging of deposits from Greek banks apparently continued in June, as the Bank of Greece (BoG) announced that deposits by businesses and individual depositors dropped during the month by 3.3 billion euros in relation to the previous month, May 2010.
Total deposits in Greek banks stood at 216.5 billion euros in June, with the figure since the beginning of the year decreasing by 7 percent, or roughly 16.3 billion euros.

This is nothing compared to what will happen when the IMF caretaker period's expiration approaches. You don't want to be in a Greek bank when Greece is no longer supported. Look at the CDS spread to get an idea of what people expect. In the medium term a Greek default is almost certain. If Greece ditches the Euro say around 2013 (more likely than many commentators say) any account holders will be robbed in the exchange to the neo-drachma.
