The socialist deputies ask transparency on the wealth of the majority’s officials and accuse them of corruption. Socialist Deputy Vasilika Hysi asked Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy Dritan Prifti to explain the sale of his shares, which reached a value of Euro 1.8 million and which belonged to a company full of debts.

“How come that 30.5 percent of the shares of this company, which has not produced any bricks during the last two years; a company that has not gathered any profit and has a debt of nearly Euro 7 million, is sold by Prifti to be bought by businessman Rasim Hamzaraj, cousin of a minister of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Petrit Vasili, for Euro 1.8 million,” asked Hysi.

Meanwhile, referring to Prifti’s declaration, the spokesperson of the Socialist Party (SP) said that he disproved what Albana Vokshi had previously said, and accepted that in Kardhiq there are 6 hydro power plants and not only one. “The SP’s charges are true. As we have previously declared, in Kardhiq there are 6 hydro power plants and not one as their owner, Albana Vokshi, pretended,” said Ymeraj.

Spokesman of the Municipality of Tirana Florion Serjani said he would charge for defamation 6 Democrat deputies, who accused for corruption the Municipality of Tirana.

“We have deposited 6 charges in the Prosecutor’s Office and in the High Court of Justice, through which we want to inform the Albanian citizens about the false statements against the Municipality of Tirana. We are waiting for the defendants to bring evidence,” said Serjani.
