The three main pillars of the Albanian diplomacy for the next year will be: visa liberalization, European integration and lobbying for further recognition of Kosovo’s independence. In an interview for Alsat, one day before the annual conference of the Albanian ambassadors all around the world, Deputy Foreign Minister Selim Belortaja mentions some of the instructions that will be given to the Albanian diplomats.
“Our policy will focus on the European integration, on visa liberalization and on full membership in the European Union (EU). We will pay a great attention to economic and bilateral relations in the region,” said Belortaja.
Wednesday’s conference will be attended by President Bamir Topi, Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Foreign Minister Ilir Meta, who will analyze the annual work of the Albanian diplomats. At the same time, they will define the main objectives of the next year.
A special attention will be given to the general situation in the region, especially after the last decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the independence of Kosovo.
