Bulgarian carriers in Greece are moving together in groups due to the complicated situation in the country caused by the strikes, chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Road Carriers Valentin Byanov said for FOCUS News Agency.

“We warned all Bulgarian heavy-freight trucks that come from Athens to set groups together when moving”, he said.

“My colleagues said that situation in Athens is really bad. We are unable to provide carriers an escort car, but we advise them to travel in groups and if it possible to avoid nigh driving, because most incidents occur in the night”, Byanov stated.

He added that if there weren’t the colleagues of the Bulgarian whose truck was burnt last Wednesday he also should burn because he was sleeping in the driver’s cab.

The of Bulgarian Road Carriers are preparing a letter of thanks to the Bulgarian consul in Thessaloniki due to the efforts he made to render them help.
