The Public Policy Institute (IPP) has launched the 'www.alesiivoteaza.ro site, the first on-line application in Romania to make available information on the MPs presence in the legislative forum and their concrete activity during the mandate.

''IPP approaches are part of a campaign of transparency and accountability as the activity of Romanian MPs is concerned, but also the promotion and raising awareness of the general public on the activities run by the Romanian Parliament members'', said at the launch of the website, Raluca Mihai, IPP program assistant.

By accessing the site, those interested can get information about the presence in the rankings of each MP in the plenum sessions throughout their mandate, the vote expressed by each MP when voting the bills, the loyalty degree toward the parliamentary group he/she is part of, the number of initiatives submitted by each MP depending on the areas of concern, the situation of the tacitly adopted laws and many other aspects of the Legislative members activity.

As well, IPP displays on www.alesiivoteaza.ro site each MP's spending made in April and May 2010, his/her travel allowances to Bucharest, travel allowances inside the country and abroad, the amounts reimbursed for accommodation in the country and amounts reimbursed for his/her transport in the country and abroad.
