The flooded area in the district of Shkodra has reached to 11,800 hectares. Besides the area of the Lower Shkodra, even the communes of Gruemire, Rrethina and Center Koplik in Malesia e Madhe, and Vukpalaj and Gashaj in the commune of Kastrat have been flooded.

The lake water and the streams in the area have totally flooded more than 1800 hectares of land and dozens of houses.

Meanwhile, in the area of the Lower Shkodra, the situation has gotten worse in the commune of Dajc, Velipoja and Bushat. During the late night hours, even the embankment of Samrish fell, by flooding the villages of Old Samrish, New Samrish, Mushan, Shirq and Darragjat. Meanwhile, even the villages of Rrushkull and Belaj are actually under water.

The villages of Hoten, the Mountain of Jushi, the New Village and the Lower Trush in Bushat have also been flooded. Meanwhile, 11 families have been evacuated from Ashta village.

In total 1,300 families have been evacuated from the communes in the area of Lower Shkodra and from peripheral neighborhoods of the city. In the commune of Berdice, the villages of Trush and Upper Berdica are inaccessible even by high vehicles.

The villages of Cas, New Baks and Rec in Velipoja have been covered by water, and now the water has passed the embankment of Cas. In the commune of Guri i Zi, the villages of Kuc, Vukatane and a part of Rrenc village have been flooded.

In the city of Shkodra, the neighborhoods of Livadhe, Bahcallek, Ajasem, Luguqesme, Tophane, Xhabije, Udhakryq and Liria are under water. The water has penetrated so much that it has divided Xhabie from Parruca, and its level has reached to 60 centimeters.

The citizens living in the flooded areas are being evacuated with private floating vehicles and with vehicles from RENEA Forces and police. They are being sent to the neighborhoods that have not been reached by the water. A very serious problem is energy supply in the flooded areas. Energy interruptions were present even in neighborhoods where the amount of water is considerably high.

The water has covered the old bridge in Buna, by making it impossible for the citizens of Shiroka, Zogaj, Zues and Oblike to travel to the city. Potable water in the flooded areas has also been contaminated.
