At its today's session in New York, the United Nations Security Council will discuss the report on Serbia's cooperation with International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) by ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz, which he submits regularly every six months.

In his latest report, Brammertz said that Serbia is fulfilling the ICTY's requests but that Belgrade's willingness to locate an arrest Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic needs to produce concrete results.

Serbia's efforts to locate the two remaining fugitives remain problematic, Brammertz said in his report, adding that their arrest remains the most important aspect of Serbia's obligation to cooperate with the ICTY Prosecutor's Office.

Brammertz underscored that the competent investigation organs in Serbia had started implementing the recommendations from his previous report submitted to the UN Security Council, and that they had continued to invest efforts in finding the fugitives, under the leadership of the National Security Council.

As part of the preparation of his report, Serge Brammertz visited Belgrade on November 15, where he met with Serbia's top-ranking officials and members of operational teams working on locating the two ICTY fugitives.

He underscored on that occasion that a solution of the above case is in Serbia, but, for the first time, he did not rule out a possibility that Ratko Mladic is abroad.
