Serbia assumes CEI Presidency from Montenegro

Serbia officially took over the Central European Initiative (CEI) presidency from Montenegro at the meeting of the Committee of National Coordinators of member states in Podgorica.

Serbia officially took over the Central European Initiative (CEI) presidency from Montenegro at the meeting of the Committee of National Coordinators of member states in Podgorica.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Rocen and CEI Secretary General Gerhard Pfanzelter assessed that Montenegro presided successfully in 2010.

Rocen said that the presidency was a chance for Montenegro to initiate and promote different areas of regional cooperation with the aim of enhancing the good neighborly relations of CEI member countries and the social reforms on the road to reaching EU standards.

He added that during its presidency, Montenegro confirmed that it has the adequate logistic and administrative capacities for organizing numerous meetings.
