Prime Minister of Turkey Tayyip Erdogan has formed special commission for questioning legal possibilities to file a lawsuit against US diplomats over recently released cables by WikiLeaks.
The commission will wait for new releases in order to have a complete insight on US accusations regarding Erdogan, members of his family and close friends, who are allegedly steeped in vice and corruption.
A 2004 dated cable by then-US ambassador Eric Edelman said: "We have heard from two contacts that Erdogan has eight accounts in Swiss banks; his explanations that his wealth comes from the wedding presents guests gave his son and that a Turkish businessman is paying the educational expenses of all four Erdogan children in the US purely altruistically are lame."
Erdogan has denied he has any money in Swiss bank accounts and threatened to file a lawsuit over the charges.
The prime minister even offered to resign from office and from parliament if the claims were proven.
