Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic and Greek Ambassador to Serbia Demosthenis Stoidis expressed satisfaction today over the fact that reconstruction works on Nebojsa Tower in the Lower town of the Belgrade Fortress are drawing to an end and that this tower should be opened to the public in one month.

After visiting Nebojsa Tower, whose reconstruction was assisted by the Greek government, Bradic said that all construction works were completed this summer and that now the interior of the building is also mostly equipped.

He said that an exhibition that will be placed to the second level of this famous building that dominates the Lower town of Kalemegdan will soon arrive from Greece, which allocated €1.4 million for the reconstruction.

The Minister congratulated everyone who worked on the reconstruction, from architects to civil engineers and experts in the field of protection of monuments and the Greeks for their important contribution.

Bradic voiced hope that this place, with so many different emotions, will be the spot that will gather those who want to learn something about the Serbian and Greek history, but also a very important cultural and touristic point of contact for Serbia and Belgrade.
