Serbian Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic and President of the Vojvodina Government Bojan Pajtic opened on Wednesday a new 12.5 kilometer-long Novi Sad bypass on Corridor 10.
Mrkonjic said that Serbia President Boris Tadic's criticism of delay in realization of certain infrastructure projects was very constructive, adding that the works on this section of Corridor 10 have progressed much more than planned.
According to him, the construction of 110-kilometer highway on the northern section of Corridor 10 from Novi Sad to Horgos and Subotica bypass will be completed early in February 2011.
The minister underlined that at the moment this is the largest construction site in Europe and that works are underway or in preparation phase on the total of 170 kilometers of highway.
The cost of the works on the Novi Sad bypass reaches around EUR 40 million and it is financed from the European Investment Bank (EIB) loan.
