Albania and Serbia next year are planning to open airline connecting the two capitals Tirana and Belgrade.

Albanian Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy Ilir Meta announced the plans of the two countries.

At the business forum in Tirana it was pointed out that the Albanian national airline will operate flights to Belgrade in the first half of 2011.

The Serbian Secretary for Aviation welcomed the news and said that JAT Airways operated flights between the Albanian and Serbian capitals until 2008.
