Russian ambassadors to Southeast European countries discussed in Belgrade prospects for intensification of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the region countries. According to Itar-Tass, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov, who chaired the meeting, and the ambassadors exchanged views on the situation in Southeast Europe in the context of the realization of Russia's foreign-policy priorities.

The Russian Ambassadors to Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Cyprus, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia and Montenegro also met with Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic.

The ambassadors and Jeremic exchanged views on current tasks aimed at developing a whole spectrum of the Russian-Serbian relations and mutual activities on regional and international issues, Itar-Tass quoted a statement released by the Russian Embassy in Belgrade.

According to the news agency, preparations for Jeremic's visit to Moscow scheduled for mid-December were also discussed.
