President Gjorge Ivanov pays February 1-3 a visit to Washington, attending the 59. traditional National Prayer Breakfast of the U.S. Congress on Thursday, MIA reports from Washington.

President Gjorge Ivanov pays February 1-3 a visit to Washington, attending the 59. traditional National Prayer Breakfast of the U.S. Congress on Thursday, MIA reports from Washington.

The National Prayer Breakfast, annually held on the first Thursday of February, brings together about 3,000 guests, including U.S. President Barack Obama, world leaders, politicians and businessmen.

President Ivanov will use the event to lobby with the U.S. administration for support in the name row with Greece, for the purpose of its closure.

Ivanov is scheduled to meet several U.S. congressmen and senators, as well as Thomas Countryman, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
