Leaders of the Party of European Socialists (PES) adopted a declaration on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in Athens on Saturday, which supports the country's development as an open, tolerant and multiethnic society, and opposes ethnic divisions.

At the PES summit in Athens, in which Serbian President Boris Tadic also participates, PES President Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and other party leaders discussed the situation in BiH, the country which they said belongs to the European Union and should persevere in its path towards membership in the organization.
