Non - governmental organisation "Most Mira" (Bridge of peace) from Prijedor (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is organizing the Youth Festival that will be held from 16th to 21st May, 2011.

For the third year in a row, around 500 school children; Serbs, Bosniaks and Croats from the town of Prijedor and surrounding villages of Omarska, Kozarac,Trnopolje, Hummbarine and Ljubija will get an opportunity to learn and network through creative activities including art, music, dance, circus skills, photography, etc.

25 local and 50 international volunteers will help to run the festival, all gathered by the organiser of the project, the NGO Most Mira.

Kemal Pervanic, leader of the NGO Most Mira said: "The idea for the camp originally came from a set of sessions held in a few schools in the Prijedor Municipality in 2007. From then on, our core mission has been to create independent space for collaboration for children from all backgrounds in the Prijedor region of Northern Bosnia and to overcome the segregation that was caused by the war. Today, the festival has international character, gathering participants who have become good will ambassadors promoting our municipality and country all around the world. We would like to show our appreciation to all participants, volunteers, local authorities and funders, individual donors and sponsors."

ArcelorMittal Prijedor, which has a major mining operation in the area, recognized the need and importance of such initiative and has generously supported the Festival from the very beginning. Additionally, this year, through the ArcelorMittal Foundation program "Solidarity Holiday", the company will send a number of its employees from the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Romania, Poland and Czech Republic to volunteer during the event.

Felicidad Cristobal, Managing Director of ArcelorMittal Foundation said: "The ArcelorMittal Foundation is very proud to have been one of the facilitators of this important and exciting event. The Most Mira Festival is going from strength to strength, and we are pleased to be continuing our support for a third successive year. In addition to our sponsorship, nine ArcelorMIttal volunteers from around the world are travelling to the event to help with the organisation."
