Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik stated in Banja Luka on Thursday that the agenda of the next parliament sitting on May 31 would include the point which refers to the abolishment of the decision on the referendum regarding the laws imposed by the high representative.

Dodik said that an agreement has been reached with representatives of the EU that at this point there is no need for a referendum to be organised with regard to the imposed decisions of the Court and the Prosecutor's Office.

Dodik said that the situation is developing well and that a political agreement has been reached in RS by the very fact that EU High Representative Catherine Ashton visited Banja Luka and that EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele should attend the initial talks on restructuring BiH judiciary.

Within the debate on abolishing the decision regarding the referendum, the parliament will discuss some of the conclusions that accompany the decision which served a basis for calling the referendum, Dodik said and added that RS would suggest that competent bodies should examine whether some of these conclusions are in keeping with the new situation.

He noted that the RS parliament would provide guidelines for future talks on reconstruction of BiH judicial institutions.
