The US Embassy in Tirana asked the US citizens to be careful and to avoid the areas of the city where there are protests.

In this notice, the US Embassy says that protests, even if they are peaceful ones, might stimulate similar actions in other cities in Albania.

The embassy referred to the Thursday’s protests in different cities in Tirana, which were organized by Socialists supporters. It also noted that these protests are following the violent protest of January 21, where 4 persons lost their lives.
