The Croatian police have arrested three persons for command responsibility for crimes committed against Serbs in the area of Sisak (central Croatia) during 1991.

As the Croatian media reported, citing unofficial sources, the police arrested Djuro Brodarac, war chief of the Sisak-Moslavac police administration, Vladimir Milankovic, a war commander of the special police in Sisak, and one more person.

Brodarac was apprehended in the village of Tribunj in Dalmatia, and Milenkovic on the road to Osijek in eastern Slavonia.

The investigation is being carried out in the Count Court in Osijek, to where it was transferred from the court in Sisak upon the decision of prosecutor Mladen Bajic.

The exact number of people murdered in the area of Sisak during the 1991-1995 war has not been determined yet, ranging from 100 to 600 civilians, mostly Serbs.
