The fall of the joint currency’s value started at the beginning of July and experts say that the financial problems with the debts of some of the European Union countries, and the entrance of a larger amount of this currency in Albania brought this tendency.
On July 1, the Bank of Albania valued Euro 1 with Lek 141.45. Meanwhile, in the free market, Euro 1 reached a value of Lek 1 less. Actually, in the free market, Euro 1 is bought with Lek 138.8 and it is sold nearly Lek 2 more. The devaluation tendency is expected to continue even during the next two weeks of July
