The Republic of Srpska Investment-Development Bank (IRBRS) was founded in 2006. as a joint-stock company which was 100 percent owned by the Republic of Sprska.

The strategic goal of IRBRS are to draw investments and stimulate development in the Republic of Srpske as well as professionally and efficiently manage capital.

IRBRS does not invest funds aimed at development projects directly, but through commercial banks and micro credit companies; In certain projects it also has the support of foreign international institutions such as: the World Bank, European Investment bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development etc.
